A full renovation of 140 SH occurred during summer 2023, turning a once dated lecture room with poor sightlines into a modern multipurpose classroom complete with a variety of seating types: standing height tables, sitting height tables, and tablet arm chairs, and accessible seating. The tiered floor was replaced with a flat floor, electricity was added around the room, new paint and trim, new flooring, new lights, and a new ceiling were installed. New technology was also added to the instructor station.

A full renovation of 40 SH occurred during summer 2023, turning the former lecture room into a modern TILE-Lite active learning classroom. The renovation included replacing the tiered floor with a flat floor, adding electricity throughout the room, new paint and trim, new flooring, new lights, and a new ceiling. The furniture was updated to modern tablet arm seats and includes accessible seating. Writing surfaces were installed around the perimeter of the room, monitors were added throughout the space, and new technology was included in the instructor station.

New furniture, electrical outlets, accessible seating, and additional writing surfaces were installed in C10 PC during summer 2023, turning it into a TILE-Lite active learning classroom. 

New flooring and tables were installed in 106 GILH during summer 2022. Height-adjustable tables for students are now present at the front of the classroom to aid in accessibility. The updates also included a new height-adjustable instructor station. 

A full renovation of N150 LC was completed in spring 2021. The octagonal room, which used to house Daily Iowan film productions, is unique across our university pool with seating "in the round," fixed and portable whiteboards encompassing the full perimeter of the room, and multiple monitors mounted on both the walls of the room as well as suspended from the ceiling in a stadium-like fashion.
