Classroom Scheduling is responsible for the scheduling and management of 312 university classrooms within 33 academic buildings across campus. During the 2023/2024 academic year, Classroom Scheduling was given the opportunity to improve the environments of the university classrooms in terms of seating, safety, and accessibility.

Improvements include the addition of accessible seating, height-adjustable furniture, and additional safety features. The updated student seating allows for easy reconfigurations for group or individual activities, creating inclusive, active learning environments that foster greater student engagement and collaboration. These enhancements ensure that more students, regardless of physical abilities, have opportunities to participate actively in class.

These improvements will have a significant impact on student success and align with the University’s 2022-2027 Strategic Plan priorities of enhancing excellence in teaching and learning, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment, and promoting holistic well-being and success.
